Japan’s Core Consumer Prices Fall for 16th Straight Month

Japan’s core consumer prices fell 1.0 percent in June from a year earlier, down for the 16th straight month, the Internal Affairs ministry said on Friday, with deflation persisting in the world’s second-biggest economy.
